The Palestinian mother, Fadwa Nazih Hamada, aged 35, from the town of Sur Baher, southeast of occupied Jerusalem, has just entered her seventh consecutive year of detention in the Israeli occupation prisons, today August 12th.
The Committee of the Families of Jerusalemite Prisoners reported that the occupation forces detained her on August 12, 2017, in Bab Al-Amoud area, after the occupation authorities claimed that she had tried to carry out a stabbing operation. Israeli occupation Court imposed a detention sentence of ten years as well as a fine of 30,000 shekels.
They reported that she had been subjected to a series of punishments in the occupation prisons, and last year, she suffered a foot fracture after falling to the ground in “Damoon” prison.
It is noteworthy that she is married and a mother of five children. She is frequently sent to different prisons and is currently in “Bou Kabir” prison.
According to the Commission of Detainees Affairs, about 5000 Palestinians, including 30 women and 150 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
